It began in 1946 after the war that the founder Heinrich Frey has registered his company as a machine
manufacturing company in Heidenheim. Soon the work shop got too small and it was decided to build in
Herbrechtingen Bolheim in 1950 a new workshop and a residential house with office space.
After the decease of Heinrich Frey, the sons took over their father’s business.
In 1987 the name of the company was altered and the Heinrich FREY Maschinenbau GmbH was founded.
Albert Frey was appointed managing director. Since 2005 he is leading the company together with his son Martin Frey.
Heinrich Frey is leading the departments export and filling technology.
Today 100 employees are working for FREY. Due to the know-how and efficiency FREY owns a top place
in the sector of the filling machine construction.
The machines production is at the 6,000 sqm facility. A firmly organized quality management accompanies
the manufacturing process to guarantee an equal high quality and to interrupt and correct the manufacturing
process if this would be necessary. After the completion of the machines, they are checked conforming
to the quality management system DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 before they are delivered to the customer.
